1. Start Training Now
You may think you are ready to dive right into this rigorous journey, but you may also be surprised.
The Inca trail trek starts at 9,186 feet and climbs to 13,829 feet. You’ll traverse a rugged path over rocky steps, steep climbs and descents, and narrow passes.

Prepare well by walking at least 4 days week a few months prior to your journey. Include hilly areas to get your heart pumping.
