1. Start Training Now

You may think you are ready to dive right into this rigorous journey, but you may also be surprised.

The Inca trail trek starts at 9,186 feet and climbs to 13,829 feet. You’ll traverse a rugged path over rocky steps, steep climbs and descents, and narrow passes.

…You’re gonna need to train!

Prepare well by walking at least 4 days week a few months prior to your journey. Include hilly areas to get your heart pumping.

Even doing the stair climber a few days a week will help ensure that you’re not taken by surprise when you embark on this once in a lifetime experience.
